Encouraging Developments

Still no response to my support ticket with the Big Business Giveaway. They've got it marked as "low priority".

But I really don't care if I get a free website or not, because the main point was to get started with something. And we did that.

It's been said that it's more important to get something going than to get it totally right. Once the plan is in motion, you can fine-tune and improve the details... but you've got to get it going. So I'm excited that something is in motion.

Also, Tom and I have been hooking up with several more "puzzle pieces" that will fit into our marketing plan. I'll share more about them as we find time to implement them. (Too bad I'm still working full time at a "real" job. It's hard to get much momentum going with the little bits of time and energy I have left over.)

So that's it for now. Stay tuned!

The Adventure Begins!

Here we go.....

Tom and I have been pretty much on the sidelines of the Internet Marketing scene for waaaayyy too long, just taking it all in.

Oh, we've downloaded tons of ebooks and some software..... maybe you have too. And we've stuck our toes in the water now and then, gently checking this thing out.

But we're finally taking the plunge!

This weekend we've set the wheels in motion. It all started with Paul Darby's Big Business Giveaway. He promises a free custom-built website, designed to sell a product we pick from a list. We need our own web host (which we happen to have already), but we get a free URL, free blog (you're looking at it), and Google Adsense code built into the website.

Sounds like a quick way to get something in motion. Right? So I filled in the online form, selected the product we wanted to sell, and set up the Blogger account for this blog. All this took several hours.

Finally, I clicked the button to submit my "order" to create the free webpage, and nothing happened. Nothing that should have happened, anyway. There was nothing to acknowledge that I had submitted anything. Instead, I was looking at the form again, but it was blank. What the heck? Did I hit the reset button by mistake? Or did my form go through, but some glitch brought me back here?

I sure didn't want to start all over again, particularly if the form had actually been submitted. So I submitted a support ticket to ask if my account had been set up or not.

So we'll see how this turns out.

Meanwhile, at least I've finally gotten off my duff and started a blog.... which I was gonna do anyhow, but kept not getting around to it.
